The Creative Economy in Illinois (2014)
Arts & Economic Prosperity 5
Arts Alliance Illinois was pleased to serve as the Illinois partner with Americans for the Arts for the fifth iteration of the Arts & Economic Prosperity study. The study quantifies the economic impact – jobs, household income, state and local tax revenue, and more – generated by the nonprofit arts and culture industry in Illinois, including the City of Chicago.
The Alliance collected data for the Illinois study in 2016, which was then compiled by Americans for the Arts, the nation’s leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education. Generous support was provided by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
