Join us on August 18th at 2pm for a webinar highlighting Cook County Small Business Support Organizations, whose services are designed to meet the needs of small businesses (less than 20 employees) and micro businesses (less than 10).

Megan Lewis will provide a Cook County Small Business Source program overview and be joined by Brian Crowe from Berwyn Development Corporation (BDC) to share more about the services they provide as a Cook County Small Business Service Organization, as well as its innovative programs and initiatives, including the Berwyn Shops Incubator, now in its 5th year! We’ll also feature Doris Munoz, founder/owner of BoothyChicago LLC, to share about their entrepreneurial journey, lessons, and insights from working with BDC and other community partners to bring their creative vision to life.

Brian Crowe

Brian Crowe is an economic development executive with more than 15 years of experience leading business attraction, job creation, redevelopment, and strategic growth initiatives across the Midwest.  Since spring 2026, Crowe has served as Executive Director and CEO of the Berwyn Development Corporation (BDC), where he leads the city’s public-private economic development organization through strategic partnerships that advance investment and opportunity throughout the community. Among those partnerships is the BDC’s role as a Cook County Business Support Organization, providing technical assistance, business advising, and access to resources that help entrepreneurs and small businesses start, grow, and succeed throughout Berwyn and Cook County. His work is guided by the organization’s mission of helping Berwyn’s people, businesses, and community thrive.

Megan Lewis, AICP

Megan Lewis, AICP, brings more than 20 years of experience in project management, organizational development, strategic planning, relationship building, and project concepting. At Arts Alliance she oversees the Public Funding Navigator program, which conducts research and provides technical support to Illinois’s creative sector. A certified urban planner, Megan brings her ability to understand the important connection that the arts and culture sector brings to community health and vitality. She holds a BA in economics from Indiana University and master’s degree in regional planning from the University of Pennsylvania.

Doris (Dee) Munoz

BoothyChicago is a woman owned & operated Latina business originating on the southwest side of Chicago (West Lawn) in 2018. As a creative & art loving person, cutting up magazines, painting bags and making jewelry for myself in mom’s kitchen, Doris was born and raised in Chicago and grew up in Chicago’s 90s graffiti art era. Doris fell in love with street art, cultural & pop-art, often creating things for themself, friends & family; and with some encouragement, kept growing.
