Cook County Arts
Cook County Arts is a pilot initiative of the Cook County Bureau of Economic Development made possible by $5 million in American Rescue Plan funding. Cook County Arts will provide recovery support for artists and nonprofit arts organizations while investing resources to strengthen the suburban arts sector long-term.
Cook County Arts is the first public investment of its kind in the suburban arts and culture sector. Arts Alliance played a key role in advocating for the initiative’s creation and funding, and is now supporting the Bureau of Economic Development with program design, implementation, and outreach. The Alliance is excited to work with Cook County Arts to bring resources to under-resourced municipalities across the suburbs and to advance our shared goals of building an equitable and thriving creative landscape across Cook County.
