About Facilitated Mentoring
|
The Illinois Arts Alliance (IAA) has developed this website to assist local arts agencies, nonprofit service organizations and others with designing and implementing a facilitated career mentoring program in their community. The program design is based on the IAA's Mentor Connection Service, first launched in 2006. During the program's pilot year, 16 pairs of seasoned leaders and emerging arts professionals successfully completed the mentoring program with positive results. This website contains step by step instructions that will take you through all phases of the program's design, implementation and evaluation. Templates, sample forms and tip sheets are included that can be used internally or as handouts for program participants. It also contains information about the benefits of mentoring, definitions for the roles and responsibilities of participants, helpful hints and other data they may be useful beyond the program development realm. We encourage you to use it in the manner that is most beneficial to you and to share the web link with others.
