Job Title: Internship - Development Assistant
January - April 2003

Job Description: Assist Membership & Development Director with all aspects of the annual fundraising benefit held in April.

Job Duties:
- Attend committee meetings, represent development department when necessary
- Work with contact at venue to secure catering and additional arrangements
- Support invitation and program design/printing
- Manage mailing and donor lists
- Coordinate fabrication of award
- Work with mail house for delivery of invitations
- Work on event timeline and program
- Assist with entertainment, honorees, and VIP guest details/logistics
- Assist with onsite details/logistics during event
- Other duties as required

Qualifications:
· Strong interest in the nonprofit arts
· Interest and/or experience in event management
· Attention to detail
· Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
· Comfortable coordinating meetings and interacting with the public

Hours: 10-15 hours per week but flexible. Days and times will be worked out with student. Pay: Unpaid Majors: All majors considered. Interviews will be conducted throughout December and January.
