There’s no such thing as an arts district or an artist’s neighborhood in Illinois. Because this is one state where it’s everywhere. Everywhere you look is an opportunity for creative expression. On the sidewalks, in the window, on the walls. It’s everywhere and it wants you to take the lead.

Whether you’re an artist, an educator, or a huge fan, there’s a place for you in Illinois – and an organization.

Coming in 2010 to a community near you, Arts Alliance Illinois will unleash a grassroots army of artists, educators, community leaders, activists, and arts lovers to blanket the state with one message: Art is everywhere, and it’s critical to the vitality of our state.

Ways to Get Involved
Want to play a critical role in this campaign? Here’s how:

• Suggest established and emerging talent (of all artistic disciplines and from all regions of the state) to participate in “random acts of art” when we officially launch the campaign this fall
  

• Donate your marquee, your windows, and your sidewalk to become part of the canvas for our message and events

• Lend your voice to our word-of-mouth and word-of-mouse efforts to showcase the breadth, enthusiasm, and sheer joyfulness of arts support throughout the state
  

• Be an ambassador for the campaign: help us marshal artists, educators, activists, and other stakeholders in your community and coordinate campaign activities on-the-ground
