In an effort to make this conference accessible to all members of the arts community, the planning committee has created a limited number of scholarships to subsidize conference registration fees and double-occupancy accommodations for the night of Thursday, May 12, 2005.

Scholarships are made possible with generous support from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.

Applicants should represent organizations with budgets of less than $1 million. Individual artists and board members are encouraged to apply

Priority will be given to early and mid-career professionals, representatives of small organizations and organizations facing leadership transition, and first-time conference attendees. Awards will reflect the diversity of the arts in the state.

To apply, please submit:

  1. Completed conference registration form
  2. A current resume
  3. A short letter (no more than 3 pages) including the following information:
  • Organization name, location, mission, number of paid staff, and annual budget
  • Brief personal bio
  • Statement of financial need
  • Previous technical assistance / professional development (conferences, workshops, etc. attended in the last 3 years)
  • An explanation of what you hope to gain by attending the One State conference
